Luring prospective readers to content blogs or sites requires catchy articles. Your write-up should stimulate their interest so you can attract considerable amount of traffic to your site. But bear in mind that the title of your article is as good as the content itself. A boring title may render an article non-existent. So how can you convert an internet surfer into a reader?

Headlines are not just about stealing a browser’s attention. More importantly, it is about conveying the entire message to your target audience.

People respond to incentives. A persuasive headline must not take a reader’s time for reading the article for granted. It must assure the readers that it’s worth their time and effort by presenting the advantages of doing so.

  • Instructional Headlines- This is quite a trend nowadays. This is preferred by a huge number of internet marketers. People often search online for solutions or remedies for the problems they are struggling with like “How To Lose An Abusive Lover In Three Days”.
  • Interrogative Headlines- This is not merely inquiring or questioning the reader. It is about sharing the reader’s advocacy or interest. The content explains what the question is all about. You can think of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire In Just Seven Days?”
  • Demanding Headlines- This type of headline wants to solicit the readers’ agreement, consent, or support. Titles of this type often command people to do what it wishes them to do like “Do Not Wear Clothes Made From Animal Skins”.
  • Endorsement Headlines- Word-of-mouth marketing is often successful because of an external positive comment. This creates huge value for the product or service being advertised because it has already been tried and tested. For example “I Love Peanut Kisses” says Bruce Willis.

As the popular saying goes, “First Impression Lasts”. So make sure your headlines have that magic of lasting impression upon your prospective readers.
